Title: 1967 camaro front springs
Post by: heckler on October 14, 2008, 12:45:49 AM
Does anyone know the proper spring height for 1967 SS big block.  Current springs were cut, looking to possibly use spacers.  Any help or reference on where to look would be great.

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!

Use 67 AIM, add up RPO"s,  it will tell you the height and where to measure (providing you have the correct tires and wheels).

The "Z" height measurement is independent of wheel/tire size - it measures loaded spring height; the "J" height measurement (rocker-to-ground) IS affected by wheel/tire size.

Sorry guys,

I have no idea what you mean.  Just need to know how to identify what the proper spring was.  Current spring causes suspension to "bottom out."  Can I no tell how much was cut off the spring?  Been told the spring is original...just cut shorter to have lowered the front height.

Thanks for helping.
