Title: Gas cap hits license plate door
Post by: GaryL on March 17, 2008, 02:55:04 AM
I have what I thought may be an original gas cap. It may not be afterall. The license plate door hits the gas cap. Anyone know of this problem. The gas tank looks like it can not move forward at all. ???

Must be a "BILLBOARD" of a license plate if it's hitting your 67 or 68 Camaro gas cap.     ;)

All stock original parts. Tank looks like it has never been out of the car. Maybe the tank will move forward 1/4".

Has your tail panel been replaced?  Mine has.  My cap does'nt touch but I notice it when I put in the gasoline pump nozzel. It's a little tight.

All original rear end. It has to be the gas tank is back too far by 1/4".
