Can anyone make sense of this 010 block with a C119 cast date? This thing runs from one edge of the pad to the other and is sitting in my neighbors 68 ragtop vette.... 111539830K 04 22 CGC
The car has original M20 partial vin stamped to the car and an MK 9 radiator tag with an L tank code. Manual steering box and four wheel disk with DK master non assist. I believe it was once a factory A/C small block car so would this make sense? It also has 3/8th inch fuel line with return that has been now shut off to run a Holley and a 6 grand tac. Thanks for any input :)

According to one source: http://www.nastyz28.com/gm-chevy-codes/chevy-engine-codes-suffix-2.php
Engine code: CGC 1971 350 cid engine with 3 spd auto tranny, 245 hp 2Bbl carb, El Camino
CGC 1971 350 std trns, police/taxi; 245 hp; 2Bbl carb, full size
I would guess 04 22 is the engine build date of April 22 and the first numbers are a partal VIN.

Looks like engine from McKinnon Plant, April 22, from 71 Passenger 350/245 powerglide/turbohydramatic 350, or Nova 350/245 powerglide, or Chevelle 402/350/245 Turbohydramatic 350, or Monte Carlo 350/245 PG/THM 350, or Camaro 350/245 THM 350

Pat I think what you're looking at is
11L539830 K0422CGC
The K indicates an engine assembled at the McKinnon plant. This one was built on April 22nd. The problem is that the VIN and the CGC indicate a 1971 engine, but the casting date shows March 11th, 1969! Two full years before the engine was assembled!!! Very strange.
However, based on the VIN and the engine code, you have a 1971 350/245 (with either a Powerglide or a Turbo 350), assembled at the McKinnon engine plant and installed in a 1971 Chevelle (or Monte Carlo) built at the Oshawa plant.
