Title: Master cylinder date codes
Post by: Walter Keegan on December 29, 2024, 07:05:40 PM
I apologize if I missed this somewhere. I have been trying to decipher the date code on a 67 Camaro 5460346 WT master cylinder. I have seen multiple posts that refer to D1, D2 etc.  I cannot find what date this refers too. I did see a rebuilt MC 5460346  for sale with D6=274 I still cannot find anything which tells me what this means. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Yea. Thanks. I’ve read all that. Nothing there related to date codes for specific MC 5460346

Date is Julian and cast into into the driver side of the MC. The front bale wire clasp obscures the first digits

According to the Corvette Forum website, date codes were not stamped on 1967 Corvette master cylinders:

The D1, etc is not a date code but a mold number.
