Title: 69 pace car cowl tag pic
Post by: cgflyer on September 17, 2024, 06:16:39 PM
I'm looking at a "Z11" at a used car dealer out of state. I have this pic of the cowl tag. The scuffing makes me nervous.. No documentation for the car at all.

Thoughts on this tag?

Tag looks real. Common to buff the paint off to make the tag easier to read.

Back in 1999, it was a roller with no front clip, engine or trans. Was an L48 column automatic. Sold on BAT May 2022 for $65k.

Thank you. That's why i came here. Further research shows this is a put together car apparently. I'll pass.

I'm not digging the rivets - too new and no putty.  Obviously removed.

Looks like a replacement dash cover too.

I see the metal cover part that has vin window cutout is aftermarket. Is that what you meant by dash cover?
