Hello,
I’m thinking about purchasing a 1969 Z28 and not up on current prices. Appreciate if you can get me up to speed and provide some input. I understand there are a lot of variables but I’ve listed two basic scenarios all true Zs in excellent condition and P.O.P
1 unrestored original, (close to a survivor but one repaint original color)
2 restored original
Thanks in advance,
Dave M.

Unrestored, original cars usually don’t need to be auctioned. Auction cars are virtually always restored. However, there will be three excellent original examples at Mecum Indy.
Does not include cross-ram or JL-8 cars.
Using 2022-2024 auction data from Barrett-Jackson, Mecum and GAA here’s the results:
Z/28 50 examples average sale w/fee $110,721
24 sales were over six figures including $275k and $220k. The $295k Powder Blue Z/28 at B-J Scottsdale 2022 was not included
Z/28-RS 27 examples average sale w/fee $105,926
15 sales were over six figures
I don’t go into a lot of detail but note obvious flaws. These are comments seen for cars under six figures.

-obvious amateur restoration
Not much variance between the years.
