Mecum Kissimmee 2024 // Lot T228
https://www.mecum.com/lots/1096838/1967-chevrolet-camaro-rs-ss/?aa_id=497809-0
396/325 HP V-8, 4-Speed, Factory Air
VIN / Serial# 124377L137912
Tag build date 01D so a very early 396"... Some Rare & unusual options combos for '67 (if i am reading these right?)...
* 1E & 1W combo-?? (TINTED ALL GLASS with TINTED W/S ONLY)
* 2E & 4N combo-?? (Factory Air with L35/396")
Couple other quirky things...?
* 1L folding rear seat... Another rare option. Not shown in the photo montage?
* 5B (BUMPER GUARDS Rear)... Apparently not installed? (nor are the standard bumperettes either?)
thoughts...??

Thought 1967 396 was not offered with air condioning! Line on evaporator is turned to the wrong direction. Trim tag looks odd to me but I will leave that to the experts. Not original fan shroud either.

I thought you could get AC with the L35 but not the L78?
-
The rivets are new.

Rear spoiler?

"Comprehensive Restoration" in the ad means incorrect details and omitted parts. Nice glass fuel filter. Many years ago a friend's car burned to the ground when one failed.
-
Nary a picture of the matching numbers. It appears to be a tad high in the rear.

Repro tag.....
-
I am always initially suspect when I see most of the alphabet on a tag.
But we have seen some real tags with a lot of options.

So no AC for L35 in 67 but you could get it in 68/69 model years.

Mecum is not authenticating cars, docs, or tags. Here's an analysis I did on the purported original window sticker posted on this auction: https://www.mecum.com/lots/1107440/1967-chevrolet-camaro-rs-ss/

Wonder what kind of coffee / tea was used to make that stain on the fake window sticker - pretty convincing I must say. lol.......totally amazing.

The car mentioned above with the window sticker sold at Mecum Indy in 2013 for 95K. Window sticker was mentioned there too. Supposed to have POP as well. I cant wait to see what it goes for this time.

Or possibly lemon juice and then fire to recreate those types of ageing properties.
