Looks great!  I always appreciate the work people go through to make things right.  It might be the photo angle....are your relief cuts for the wheel housing slits or V's?  Should be V's.

The 'Vs" just have to be trimmed out prior to installation.

Doc, what paper / fiber board material did you use and where can it be sourced?

That's a potential money maker if you wanted it to be.. depending time and cost.  Looks good.

Doc, it would help those of us who might consider a similar approach to replacing the original divider to learn more details about the material used (thickness, product name, specs, sourcing etc) if you wouldn't mind asking your cabinet maker friend?

Talked to my friend, not much help. He purchases it from a salesman who told him it is made overseas. When the order is placed it is a 50 sheet minimum and comes as a 4x8 sheet (natural color). The thickness is .070", has no product name, and is very similar (material and thickness) to another friends resto house bought divider. He has always referred to it as panel board. I was given a 2x5 piece and I did the rest. The limited number of these dividers I have seen in the wild plus pictures show an original to be 2 pieces "glued" together. Here is a photo showing an original one with the thickness. 2 of the one I made "glued" together would be dead on.

If your friend isn’t much help, you need a new friend.

I've done a few of the dividers for 1970 Camaros and ran into the same material supply issue.  The 70 divider is about 0.093 inch thick so I laminate a 0.060 and 0.031 sheet together.  I found the material here:

Yes, it is.  Well, it is at where I work.  We use it for prototypes for customer parts.  Very handy, but you have to create a CAD file first.  It is a CNC xacto knife.  The table has a large vacuum pump that holds the sheet in place.
