Title: 1967 Lights / beams behind grille
Post by: DarkJerre on May 22, 2023, 11:33:24 AM
Dear team, dear experts,

I'm new to the forum so if I make any errors feel free to push me into the right direction and learn the rules.

I've found this ad picture where the car has large (same size as regular lights) beams behind the grille ?

Are those an option that was possible, if so any reference to restoration of such lights would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Jerome

Those are aftermarket driving lights. Very common in Europe at the time but not a factory option. Bosch and Hella were the top two suppliers.

That's a European ad (note license plate) - they were included on some Camaros sold in Europe (never in the US).

It’s a french car.
The law here say that it ’s possible to make a flash with the highbeam.
So french cars where modified with these round modified cibie , and also a comodo on the dashboard to allow them to flash.
These lights are impossible  to find now here in france

I kinda like it...not much actual use, but has a "Le Mans" look to it.
