Title: Waterless coolant
Post by: joesauer on December 20, 2022, 06:03:42 PM
Any opinions about replacing 50/50 mix coolant with a 100 % waterless coolant (evanscoolant.com) in my '68 350.   Have never used anything but a 50/50 mix.    Just curious if anyone has tried it.

Have heard good things from Evans but no personal experience.  I'm old school with doing 50/50 but with distilled water vs the old days you grab a couple gallons from the tap.

I was told many years ago that coolant is designed to work with a mixture of H2O. Straight coolant was not advised because it lowered the boiling point. As far as I know todays cars (non ev obviously) run similar mixtures. That must mean something.
