1969 Camaro on BaT Either trim tag, VIN or both have been removed.

It amazes me the detail that folk but into these cars, but anytime there is a big block involved I always check the transmission mount and in this case it is a small block mount and looking at the fan inside of the shroud it appears the big block is sitting on small block mounts as it needs to come over to the passenger side the 1/2 which would be correct with the right big block mounts? But for me doing the correct heater core relocation is a bigger job than the mounts? Plus with the small mounts the geometry would be wrong to the rear axle causing at the least a premature leak at the axle seal?

I have no objections when it comes to doing recreations of a COPO or any other vehicle for that matter even if they messed up and put the wrong motor or transmission mounts in. That can be fixed. What can't be fixed is when you start monkeying around and changing trim tags and potentially even VIN's. God knows what this could lead too. The dash panel on this vehicle has also been replaced so who knows if the VIN has been touched or not.

Those are just the base hubcap, if you didn't order anything else. Came on tons of cars, not just COPOs....Joe

But the article in the magazine said they were ZL1 hubcaps. Did that make my 6 cylinder a rarity factory mistake?πππππ
