I’m the 2nd owner, and the car is a 11E build. The owner kept every record for what was done and . I didn’t realize until I owned it for a few years that there’s no “Astro ventilation“ cutout. Has anyone else seen this?
-
Something to do with convertibles? My 11A coupe, Norwood built has vents.
Is yours an LA (Van Nuys) car?
-
I've seen several early 68's without the vents.
10A is the last coupe that we've seen.
11A and 11E (yours) are the last convertibles.
Yes, I'd say they were using up stock, though I'm surprised they accepted the deviation with the new Astro Ventilation system.

That's a heck of a deal, only early 68's get "Astroventilation" markings on the glass (generally speaking) but not all early 68's have 1/4 vents!
It would seem (to me) LA may've been using older stock later into production as they weren't building as many cars (as Norwood)?

And here's the memo about A-V.

It’s a Norwood Car. Also interestingly enough, the car was ordered with a Parchment interior but was built with a standard blue. I actually met a guy who’s car was built 50 after mine and had the parchment interior.
-
Pretty sure they weren’t concerned about. I’ll take a peek at any I see n the future. Thanks for the memo.

Found on EBay with the last 6 of the vin being N306512. Jambs are cutout….most likely during restoration.

My LA built 08D 68 has fully functional Astro ventilation as pictured above, happens to also be BN Yellow w/749 interior.
