My 1967 Camaro VIN 124377N212598 with 04D build date has both the 2nd and 3rd design quarters.
The LH quarter date 14 is the 2nd design with full telephone and indentations.
The RH quarter date 16 is the 3rd design with top portion of the telephone-shape impression partially truncated.
I share this information to help pinpoint when the design change occurred since my car has both 2nd and 3rd style quarters.

Good to know my 04A has both sides telephone shape and are H 10 1.
-
I always wondered if there were any surviving 67s with two different designs. Now I wonder if convertibles were also changed around this same period.
-
The 04C pacer I inspected a few years ago had both of the 3rd style "truncated" phone.
VIN 213280

I’m curious on what the first stamp is? I didn’t know that there were 3 variants I only know of the two styles in 67 quarter jambs, does anybody have a picture of first stamp that they can post?

Thanks you for posting, I forgot about that. The pilot cars were that way as well.

My 67 L78 has one of each on it.

My 67 L78 has one of each on it.
What's the build date from the trim tag, and assembly plant? Which 2 styles and which one on each side? Both sides original sheetmetal? I think all the repros are styled after the second design, but not certain.
-
I will get some pictures and data for you.
-
On an L78 I expect you'll have a second and third design.
-
Instead of connecting the 1/4 changeover to the build date, it should be tied to the sheetmetal run date on the 1/4, fwiw.
-
Sorry if it’s widely known…..however what is fwiw?
