Title: 68 z Caliper stamps
Post by: ReaperEd on August 13, 2021, 02:20:59 AM
My four caliper pieces have stamps on them.
The two inner pieces have MR3 stamped on them. One outer has MY3 and the other outer JN3 stamped

I cannot find anything on this. Does anybody else have stamping like this? Or know the meaning.

Pics below.
Next post has rest of the pics

Thanks

Your first post actually showed the stamps..  which are assembly date codes when the caliper was assembled.   The latter post showed 'cast dates' which were dates that each half of each caliper was 'cast'.   Cast dates will be earlier than the stamped 'assembly dates' (obviously)...  ( I couldn't decipher the stampings, but usually casting dates are 'julian dates'?)
