I purchased my 68 Convertible 10 years ago. When I got it I knew it was not a numbers matching car. As the years have passed I have become more interested as to where the parts originated that make up my car. If it is not too much trouble could someone help me with some information?
White convertible with Black power top and Red interior.

Your car was on ebay back in 2007 and at that time the seller stated it was numbers matching. However, as you know, it's not.
You already have the exterior (C2 - White with black soft top) and the interior (724 - red standard) decoded, but the rest is as follows:
The engine is a 327/210 (LF7) assembled at the Tonawanda, NY engine plant on October 12th, 1966 and installed in a 1967 Camaro.
The Muncie is a 1964 or 1965 vintage and was originally installed in a full size car that was assembled at the Janesville, WI plant.
The rear axle "could" be original to your car and is a 3.08 open assembled on November 1st. You would need to check the center section casting date to verify the year.
The heads are 1968 truck heads with 64cc and more than likely 1.94" intake but "could" be 2.02". You would have to pull them to verify but it's probably not worth the effort.
The intake is a 1968 only and was used on engines ranging from 250 to 350HP.

Thank you guys.
69Z28-RS: I thank you for your suggestion, it is exceptional reading, but can be a little confusing when the parts are from vehicles other than Camaros. My enthusiasm for this car has not slowed down since I bought it. It is now with me and I will still have it when I die.
bertfam: Thank you for all of this information. I did check on several websites and I was not sure about the engine and the transmission, now I am sure. This does not change my feelings for the car, just curiosity is satisfied.
I actually have a printed copy of the advertisment when it was on Ebay.
I would like to say thank you very much to the Camaros Org society as I have posted 2 posts and have received replies within hours. The community on this site is outstanding with the knowledge and information.
