Title: 1968 Base Convertible Grille Color
Post by: timkeller on March 03, 2021, 02:05:21 PM
I have a 1968 base convertible, 327 210hp with a 10D build date.
What is the correct color for the grille? All black, all argent silver or center silver and outer black?
I painted it all black 34 years ago and I am restoring the car for the second time and would like to have it correct.
I have read the articles about it and have some confusion. It's likely just me.

Thanks,
Tim

Welcome aboard Tim. I added pictures of my 68 grille. The pic in the woods is when I first bought it in 1988. I was third owner and besides a repaint it was in pretty original condition. The pic in the driveway is much later after body work was started. I sold that car years ago and these are the only two pics I found of the grille. My 68 was also a base model 327 210hp 07C. I hope these pics help. And definitely keep coming back to this site as the guys on this site are very knowledgeable.
