Title: 9F dated voltage regulator on an 06A car???
Post by: camaronut on January 06, 2021, 12:03:28 AM
A friend of mine told me his original 06A 69 SS 396 has a 9F dated voltage regulator.  Didn’t argue but is that possible?

I guess it could be because no one knows what week 06A cars were made???

Late build car - early built regulator?

The date on the body tag is when Fisher Body released the build order, not necessarily when the car was final-assembled. 06A at Norwood is the entire month and spans VINs N652xxx-N665xxx. There is overlap at the beginning and end of the month. The first few days of June cars with 05E tags were built; the first few days of July the last 06A tags were built.

A car with an 06A tag and a later VIN could have been built with a June VR.
