I had lunch with My friend Tom the other day who is a long time member of NCRS and owns a '78 Camaro he bought new along with a 64 and 65 Corvette and has got pretty excited when I told him about my high school car a '69 Z that I'm restoring and he said he will be selling his 64 Vette and really misses his '69Z that he had to sell when he was called into the reserves and would like to buy one just like it, then he told me he had the original dealer order form from Yarnall-Todd Chev. in Chicago, and I mentioned to him that I would reach out to the members of CRG to see if any info. is available. The VIN # 124379N535066, it was a Hugger Orange Rally Sport Z-28 with black vinyl top, M21, Console, Head Rest Car , power steering and brakes, rear antenna, flat hood and chambered exhaust. any info. would be appreciated, Thanks!

Wish him luck. That early a car would have no X code. Makes it even more unlikely to find.
-
It had a couple of options that make it stand out like the rear antenna , but I was hoping that was in the data base or a member had it. He has me looking for one similar and he's a stickler for originality(NCRS Guy), so I have already warned him of the prices these bring today, he may have to sell both Vettes to get what he wants!

Nothing for 124379N535066 on vinaudit.com and not listed here in the 1969 Orphans either.
-
And not in the database.
-
Not in my auction data base.
-
Thanks Gentlemen! I'll let him know he needs to be on the lookout for a close facsimile.
-
He should look for his own records of his sale, and trace the car from there.. thru the various owners that it might have had. Such cars as this tend to stick in people's minds so he might get lucky... :)
-
That's a good idea, I'll let him know!
-
Please contact me . You can’t find the car in the US bc it is in Canada 🙂
-
Well is this the end of the tale - or is there more to be told?
Enquiring minds and all that..
-
Well no one has contacted me but I know where this car is Actually the reason you guys cannot find it in the US is because it’s in Ontario Canada. I know where the car is actually but someone had put quarter panels for quarters in the car and move the antenna to the front passenger side but it is the car so with the original owner please contact me and I can give them the details thanks guys.
-
I own the car now . When the car was restored the rear antenna was moved to the front fender
-
Nice car - but unfortunately, finding it sounds like it wasn't as much of a priority as I first read into the OP's comments (possibly you feel the same way).. :o

I just noticed the post about my friend Tom's car and will let let him know as soon as I reach him, I'm sure sure he will be exited and will link him to the site! Here is a copy of the bill of sale that he gave me last year.
-
Some also put the cowl hood on it as well, since Tom mentioned that it had the standard flat hood, car was probably too early for cowl hood option.

Even back then Camaro was being spelled wrong (it is Camero on the bill of sale).

I wonder if that is all the paper work he has from the car it self . Yes someone added the cowl hood prob when restored. The car still has the sprayers for the RS package as well .

I just spoke to Tom and will PM you his email address! He did say that he bought the car with 4500 miles on it in Oct. '69 from a friends daughter who bought it new and the factory sent him a new owners manual when the warranty transferred and that he does have some paperwork somewhere along with the original rear antenna, I did ask him about the warranty book(POP) and he said that went with the car when he sold it. Sounds like the extended warranty was a good thing since he said that he burned 7 exhaust valves and 2 intake valves when he had it. I'm curious, does it still have the original motor?

Tom just sent over a picture of this car back in 1972 at the Albuquerque International balloon fiesta , thought it was pretty cool!
-
Hi I sent Tom a email but nothing back from him at all.
Very nice photo for sure . The car is parked in my heated shop sleeping every night . Tell him not to worry :)
-
I sent another email see if he gets it now .
