Didn't post the exhaust clamps, but, 1 7/8" stamped in the pass, no stamping but the driver's was clearly larger. Left them in the tumbler a day and polished. Look nice, zinc another day, wanted the exhaust hung. Also screws were clearly phosphated, no traces of zinc. The fit was superior to the vendor claimed "correct". Full closure, magic I guess.

Some more magic: the pass tailpipe # shows in the pic, I cannot find it with the naked eye, picked it up totally by accident/luck.
-
Meant tailpipe hanger clamps, not exhaust.

Killer, I had a 200 mile 68 Z take off exhaust which went with my 68 RS/SS 396 when I sold it.
Good thing about original stuff is it is laminated (double layer pipe) which makes the tone less TINNY sounding.

Learn something every day, noticeably heavier vs. the repop.

Excellent pics and that exhaust system would be most difficult to replicate original wise. Great job!

I have a NOS 68 Z exhaust. They have the part numbers on the pipes.
-
Not an nos, it's the born with exhaust for this car.

Thanks Chick, I didn't love it, and the car fought me alittle not wanting it back under. But, was the only real stand back moment I had throughout the build. Milemarker
