Title: Late 1969 DZ Short Block V0929DZ (Sept 29, 1969)
Post by: luv2sixty9 on November 08, 2019, 11:10:06 PM
Trying to reunite this original short block with the car. The block still retains the original standard piston and there is no ridge, so it can possibly remain standard bore.
The VIN is present but hard to read 19N7005?

Will need more of the VIN if possible. Did you try gently cleaning the area with lacquer thinner?

Is this block still available @luv2sixty9?

The 1969 Camaro had two production runs due to the delayed launch of the 1970 Camaro.

1st run was Aug 1968-July 11, 1969. 2nd was August 7, 1969-November 7, 1969.

The block in the photo is from the 2nd run and the partial VIN is within the range for the date.

There’s a 700904 in the VIN list of the 9’ orphans! Sorry, also 700525.
