Title: unusual '69s
Post by: william on July 24, 2019, 12:36:02 PM
Too many changes to be restored but interesting.

10 10 714-black with yellow houndstooth. 02B tag; has to be one of the 1st 714 '69s.

I like unusual cars myself but agree too much done to change back. Kind of like a true numbers matching  BB corvette I looked at. New nice red paint on a car that was originally green.

That is the earliest 714 I've ever seen.
And only the 2nd L6 with a D80 tag.
Thanks!

The fender droop on the red car indicates a  poor restoration.

Common problem; so easy to fix. Position a floor jack with a length of 2 x 4 wedged into the corner of the grill opening. Couple of pumps and it is straight.

That's all I know about bodywork!
