Title: Barrel Key In Drivers Door Jamb

I know im assaulting you guys with a ton of probably silly questions so I appologize, but Im trying to learn as much as possible.  I took this picture to hopefully clarify my question.

im just wondering what this lock might go to without removing the 1/4 panel.

Probably, a non original burglar alarm.
remove the kick panel and see where the wires go

 ill do that today. it just seemed weird.  If you look at the blurry pic you can see the sheet metal is recessed where the key is.  Just seemed odd to be an aftermarket item.  Ill post what i found.

Alright its a 12v power interupt going to the accel HEI setup.  Basically instead of the power line running right to the ignition system it runs into the drivers door jamb then back through the firewall and to the accel unit.  This must have been done awhile ago, definately before the repaint.  I am amazed the car even runs with whoever did the wiring job on it. ;D  they retaped all the wires back up and ran this in the factory harness.

Why go through all that trouble to put that in and then do a hokey wiring job, go figure
