I want to upgrade plug wires but keep it as stock looking as possible. Read Pertronix makes a set but wanted opinions on how they look, fit and perform.

I changed my orange 69 Z over to pertronix which, eliminated points, used their black coil and plug wires. It seems to behave better in stop and go traffic and I run it through the gears up to 6.5 k with no issues. I'm running headers which is why I upgraded the plug wires. I have the basic Pertronix module.

I can't comment on the Pertronix plug wires, but the coil is slightly larger than stock. It looks and works excellent, but you have to open the factory clamp a little more to get it to fit in. I can't praise the Pertronix Igniter III enough. You'd be hard pressed to tell it's installed externally if you hide the relay, that you really should run, well. It works excellent and adds an adjustable rev limiter.
