Question about these 'Door Window Guides' - http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=380537
My 69 Camaro doesn't have them and I can't find them in the AIM.
Apparently they attach under the Outer Window Felts.
Are they required? and Why wouldn't they be in the AIM?

The AIM was written only for the parts installed on the Chevrolet side of the plant. The body (including the widow parts) was built in the Fisher Body side of the plant.....so therefore the AIM would not have these parts included.

69 Fisher body manual.

Good luck using them on some reproduction doors! We've had to leave them off in the "rear" positions on both right and left doors (my right door was reskinned, my left was a whole shell - new, from Classic Industries). We had put the glass in and doing the final adjustments when we realized there was interference at the rear guide. After MANY calls to Classic, they issued a refund for over $600, claiming (after some argument) there was a "manufacturing discrepancy" that they could not remedy. So the refund got them off the hook.
In answer to the OP's question, yes, mine had them. they press against the plastic "window guides" (look like the head of a carriage bolt, but made of plastic) which are mounted on the windows, below the glass and thru the brackets and glass where it sandwiches the assembly

For anyone who comes across this question in the future – putting my 69 Camaro back together after years of disassembly and installing new glass, I was unable to get the driver’s side glass to seal firmly against the top weatherstrip and quarter glass. I didn’t have any issues on the passenger side. I discovered the driver’s side was missing both the front and rear guides (I think a better description is to call them skid plates). These pieces don’t generally show up in catalogs as part of the window mounting hardware and aren’t obvious because they’re a bit hidden in the door sheet metal. They are attached with two sheet metal screws in predrilled holes under the felt. I found that without them the other adjustment/alignment points didn’t work adequately. I bought the pair new from heartbeatcitycamaro.com for about $25
