Is it possible that this VIN 123677N144054 is for a 1967 RS/SS 396 Pace Car.
Breakdown of the VIN shows it to be a 6 cylinder?

Nope too early of a build (built in Dec of '66) plus its a 6 cylinder vin.

"We are offering this 1967 Camaro Convertible SS-RS 396 325 hp. Indy Pacecar for sale.  The complete frame off restoration was just completed. The car sports its original and completely rebuilt "Born With" 396 Big Block engine , Turbo- 400 Transmission and 12 bolt positraction rear end.The 693 Alternator, 7027200 Quadrajet Carburetor, 879 and 880 Exhaust Manifolds, DG Coded Rally Wheels, etc. are all date coded and numbers matching and rebuilt/ restored. The car has power steering, power 4 piston disc brakes  and a power top, tach and gauges, new deluxe interior, all original stainless polished and bumpers rechromed. We even found an NOS bright blue well liner to go with the new top. Everything on this car has been replaced or rebuilt. This is C-1 coded car so it has the blacked out tailpanel and we did not put the decals on the doors. They would have been dealer installed and are available to install if desired. This car runs and drives beautifully. Very few of these cars were built and the Big Block is even more desireable as the production numbers are extremely low. The 1967 Pacecar was only available for approximately 2  months before the Race in May. How does a registry miss a fake tag?  Am I missing something here??

I bet it's the wrong VIN listed in the ad....

I asked for a pic of the vin.  We will see..  Even though the ad ended on 5-31-15

That VIN/car was for sale earlier in the year.
They confirmed it was the wrong VIN in the ad.
