Right now I have old chrome high profile vavle covers on that I've had for about 20 years. I would like to change them. Is there any reason why I can't switch to a low profile type?? Also, thinking on going with the black ones, will that look good with my orange engine and aluminum intake??
Thanks Barry

Based on the limited information Q1) No, Q2) Yes...guess that is what you want to hear? When it comes to valve covers or women's apparel, low cut is always preferable...I'll ad, black is only for formal occasions though, I assume?
But, now a question for you, Barry. I am thinking about
changing the lighter in my ashtray, should I go with the "Save the Ta-tas" breast awareness theme on the top portion of the lighter or the "Paisley, lost in the Hippie era" look? Hmmm? Decisions!?
Oh, and welcome to the site.

Bentley you should be doing standup comedy somewhere..................

Barry,
"tall" valve covers are used to clear rocker arm travel on engines with a hi-lift camshaft. If your engine does not have these type of rockers you should be fine with "low profile" valve covers.
Google engines pictures.
Good luck,
Victor

Here you go Barry ... just as described, almost (these are high but you get the picture) :o But even better is if it's gonna be in, oh lets say ??? A Hugger Orange Camaro ;D

VTBF68 is correct :) I prefer the look of tall valve covers ,however leads to some minor alternator clearance issues on 67-68's---smaller diameter belt solves the problem, usually. Set of Morosos I has needed very minor mods.
