Title: Neat video,,some local Cars leaving Wendy's last summer
Post by: MyRed67 on December 23, 2014, 01:00:19 AM
A friend of mine posted this video and tagged me on Facebook.  Didn't even know anyone was video taping this.  These are a few of my local friends leaving a Wendy's Super Car night last summer.

Funny video some of the fastest cars in there day, but slowest on the video, then for humor I saw the Fiero in the background. Sorry just didn't seem in the same league.
Of coarse the small block S/10 made the show...I knew somebody back in the day that built one what a POS that was.

That S-10 is a work in progress.  It has a 383 sb with 2 X 4 Tunnel Ram.  The front end is all bolted together, "flip" front end.

My friends S/10 always seemed like a work in progress. It was one of those conversions that kept being problematic. A lot of gremlins in the motor/trans, then he parked it to to take a break. That was back in like 95, I think it is still parked there in his shop.

The project kinda of seems similar to the 70's mustang in the video. A lot of mods, a big motor, and a lot of passion by the owner to make something that is not mainstream.

I admire the passion and work to do something that is not an easy bolt on, and diversity in the car culture is cool. Sometimes the end product looks a little cartoonish to me is all.

Never had much trouble making my S-10 go... stopping was the biggest problem.

Wendy would probably not let them come back, if they started a burn out contest.... (http://www.freesmileys.org/emoticons/emoticon-looney-toons-005.gif)

BULLITT;
I know the guy with the Red COBRA II pretty well. I worked with his brother for years, he has a stock Blue w/White stripe COBRA II.  I believe it is a '76.  It seems to be a well thought out build, done right.  He just put in a NEW  500 hp. 357 ROUSH motor over the winter last year.

Sorry, I don't know.  I don't even know if he has ever taken it to the track.
