Post by: ozman on September 01, 2014, 10:57:33 PM
Searching why my 67 Camaro rs has LS for los Angeles instead of LOS on the cowl.Noticed on camaropacecars.com forum there are 2 cowl tags that also have LS ironically built the same day as mine 06B.   J 177 is mine ,June 10th.Any information would be appriciated

Probably just a mistake.  There are some others known like this.  Not very many but a few.

Post a picture if you can or send it direct to me.

Thanks

It was a misstamp that lasted for about 200-300 cars.

I had a 69 Camaro with NBR instead of NOR...  if my memory serves me..it's been many years...   I also had one that had 0B (or 0C..I cant remember the week) for the cowl tag date... I think maybe the 1 got cut off by one of the rivet holes !! I doubt they are 1 of 1 situations and I'm sure these are probably already known factory mistakes.
