Title: 68 Z Exhaust Manifold bolts
Post by: Mr 396 on July 21, 2014, 07:11:12 PM
Working to restore my 68 Z. Took an old set of headers off and want to put the original manifolds back on. Question is whether the two center bolts get the thick washers on them like the ones on the outside do?

Here is a photo from the Lucas Restorations web site showing what appears to be an original 68 Z28 engine exhaust manifold and the center section does indeed have the washers behind the bolts.  I see you have the same question over on TC so I will also post this same info there for them to see.

Thank you. As you can see there is some confusion on this issue.
