Folks,
My Camaro was built in early Nov '66. I am seeing places where a distinction is made before and after 16 Nov '66 with respect to Camaros.
Does anyone have a list as to what changes were made to the Camaro and specifically the SS Camaro after 16 Nov '66?
For instance, did rally wheels arrive on the scene then?
Thanks,
Matt

Rally wheels were not optional for 1967 and were not known by that name. Back in the day we called them "disc brake wheels" because they were included when the new for '67 disc brakes were ordered. For '68 they became optional as "rally wheels" and were no longer included with disc brakes.

Thanks! Any other insight as to the date 16 November 1966 and how the car changed at that point? For instance I found where the total person-weight of what the vehicle could carry went from 800lbs to 950lbs... heavier springs? This difference was noted on the stickers in the glove box.
-
Actually, as I continue to sleuth... the increased weight was due to the addition of one person per number of seat belts in the car versus increased strength springs.
Though my car shows a build in 11B, the sticker in the glove box is still there and shows 5 pax, 950 lbs (after 16 Nov '66). It did come with five seatbelts.

Both of my 67's (4B & 5B) only have 4 sets of belts.
The past CRG report confirms that: http://www.camaros.org/seatbelt.shtml

This is a bit more interesting. I was wrong and reversed the data. Mine is the early year car and did come with 5 seat belts and does have the glove box tag for the earlier models listing five people.
I found though that the SS model was to have tire pressure increased by 2 lbs (both cold and hot) for the SS model. My tire pressure decal shows it to be a non-SS car, though the preponderance of evidence shows the care was an SS (all sheet metal clearly original, down to original paint as the base paint, '4P' on the trim tag, original 12-bolt and powerglide with the car(ruling out the 327/4spd/12bolt 4P combination), gas cap, horn cap, all original 'ss' trim pieces, all pieces clearly aged with the vehicle when I pulled it out of a storage building in Montana. Hadn't be licensed since '87.
With the link you provided it looks like they want me to contact to help with data. Is that your read? (3 seatbelts in the rear seat)

Can you post a pic of the tire pressure sticker? What's the codes off of the rear belts?

What ARE the pressure for the tires supposed to be for Non SS and SS?... Danny

First off, I must have been hallucinating... I am REALLY certain that I really did pull three sets of seatbelts out of the back, yet I can only find only four sets at the moment. However stuff is all over the garage.
My glove box shows 5 seat-belts. I have posted several photos. The first are from my car, appearing to be non-deluxe belts, but they were retractors up front.
I next posted what Classic Industries 'says' is correct.
My simple discrepancy is that if Classic is correct, I have a non-SS tire pressure sticker in the car with some really solid evidence that I have an SS. In addition to the trim tag, the rear-end matches as a 12-bolt as close as they can match. It had 3:31 non-posi gears (standard for Powerglide). The Powerglide tranny had a 21 tooth speedo gear and the valve body was date stamped Oct 66, exact same month as the intake manifold. Chrome valve covers, air cleaners and oil fill along with intake survived from the original car. Tracked car back to 1969, via last owner.
Hope the pics help. Will have to post several times.

Last set from my car.

That is going to be a nice looking car when done... I like the monochromatic color palette.
BTW the reproduction tire pressure sticker is not laid out the same as the original one.
Make sure to take 10-20 digital shots with a ruler beside the original tire pressure sticker so if you ever want to replicate it you have the reference resources.

Your sticker is correct for an SS - don't believe the catalogs.
They all said 5 people for several months til they finally changed the stickers to 4.
Also one of the first weeks for the retractors.

James, Kurt, thanks a million.

My L48 RS/SS is LOS body scheduling code K250, later that same day. You probably know that the plant never advanced t-tags beyond week B that month. I have Deluxe interior, convertible, pretty sure it only has two rear belts. The original glove box sticker is long gone so I can't check that.
-
I did not know... what are 't-tags'?

Deja Vu http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.php?topic=8424.0
Anyhow....My 67 4B LOS 'R' (396) decal mentions 4 pass +200 lbs luggage. Looks like the change was been done by then.
